My experience
I undertook my medical training at The University of Melbourne, graduating with the Sir Alfred Edward Rowden White Prize in Clinical Obstetrics and the Fulton Scholarship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I then completed my internship and residency at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne before undertaking specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg and a further subspecialty fellowship at Monash Health in Clayton.
I have extensive postgraduate qualifications, including Masters degrees in Public Health (from Harvard University), Science (from the University of London), Reproductive Medicine and Clinical Embryology. I have also completed three years of a subspecialty clinical fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
I currently hold public appointments at Monash Health and the Mercy Hospital for Women, and consult privately at Clayton, East Melbourne and Box Hill. I co-ordinate all fertility treatments through Newlife IVF, a specialist fertility centre I founded in 2019 with five other leading fertility specialists. Together, we aim to offer women and couples undergoing fertility treatment a more personalised, caring and supportive experience than that of corporate-owned clinics.
My specialisations and interests
As a consultant gynaecologist and fertility specialist, I specialise in women’s reproductive health issues, including abnormal or painful periods, pelvic pain and infertility. My special interests include polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), male factor infertility, ovulation induction, preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) and minimally invasive surgery.
Beyond patient care, I am actively involved in research and clinical audits. I also take a particular interest in teaching new specialist trainees and advocating for the rights of single women and same-sex couples who want to use assisted reproductive techniques (ART), including IVF, to start their own family.
